This Plant is the first Plant in the economic special zone and constructed in 2003. The production capacity of HD Plant is 140,000 tons HD polyethylene. The Products of this Plant include about 16 different grades: EX1, EX2, EX3, EX4, EX5, BL2, BL3, BL4, BL5, BL6, BL7, BL8, I1, I2, I3, and I4.

Over the past year, the largest amount of production in this plant is related to the EX3 product, which is the pipe grade. Over the past years, the HD Plant for some years 80 – 90% and for some years has even produced up to 100%, the EX3 product. According to the measures taken in the HD Plant, the maximum production rate of EX3 is 18.4 ton per hour.

For Some product grades like I3 and I4 the production rate can be about 22 to 23 tons per hour. Some other measures have also been taken to reduce catalyst consumption and to modify the catalyst.

In this production Plant, Unit 100 is the reactors section in which powder is produced, Unit 200 is the dryer section, Unit 300 is hexane recovery section, Unit 400 is the storage tanks section for hexane or other chemicals storage, Unit 500 is related to the extruder in which the granulation is done, Unit 600 is related to the storage of product granules. Packaging takes place in Unit 700, Unit 800 is related to steam and the laboratory is in Unit 900. Also, in another division, the Plant is divided into two parts: Polymerization and Extrusion. The Polymerization section consists of Units 100 to 400 and the Extrusion section includes Unit 500, 600, 700 and granulation section.

Apart from the other standards of AKPC management systems, this Plant has also a PE 100 certificate for high-density polyethylene product from Bodycot and also is Food Grade Contact.

HDPE Feedstock: The feed of this Plant is ethylene, which is supplied from the olefin Plant

And butane-1 from the B1 Plant.
