To
expedite executive operations of Development
Projects of Petrochemical Industries and to
make use of domestic and foreign
partnerships and investments, the National
Petrochemical Company established
Petrochemical Public Joint-Stock Companies
to implement the projects in the process of
execution. To this end, Amir Kabir
Petrochemical Company was assigned to
implement the 6th Olefin Project
in April 1998.
Amir Kabir
Petrochemical Complex is located at Bandar
imam, on the south of Petrochemical Special
Economic Zone at the Site 4 situated
approximately on Northwest of Petrochemical
Complex of Bandar Imam.
The 6th
Olefin Project is established at a land lot
having a surface area of 55 hectares by Amir
Kabir Petrochemical Company and the first
Plant of which, i.e. Plant HD, was put into
operation in February 2003.
Intermediate
products of the said Project include:
520,000 tons of Ethylene; 185,000 tons of
Propylene; 20,000 tons of Buten-1; 260,000
tons of Light Linear Polyethylene; 1,000
tons of Heavy Linear Polyethylene; 300,000
tons of Light Polyethylene; 137,000 of
Pyrolysis Gasoline; 50,000 tons of
Butadiene, 24,000 tons of Fuel Oil(CFO)
annually are final products of the said
complex. All the Plants of the said Complex,
except Light Polyethylene Plant, are
presently in the process of production and
it is anticipated that the Light
Polyethylene Plant, having annual capacity
of 300,000 tons, would be put into
operation in the late 2008. Amir Kabir
Petrochemical Company would supply 137,000
tons of feed annually for Hydrogenation of
Pyrolysis Gasoline Plant of Bouali Sina
Petrochemical Company. Propylene produced by
Olefin Plant of the Complex is supplied to
Navid Zar Chimi Industrial Company for the
production of Polypropylene.
Polymeric
products are mostly used in gas and sewage
pipes, transport box, toys, home appliances,
liquids containers, plastic bags and
bottles. The feed required by the Complex
are : Rafinate, Butane, C5 breccia, Ethane
gas, LPG light breccias, all are supplied by
the Petrochemical Companies within the
Special Zone.
