The head of Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company stated: this company managed to perform essential overhauls of extruder gearbox clutch in LDD Unit in less than a week without any accidents
According to Nypna citing public relations of Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company, Soleimani announced the successful completion of major overhauls on the gearbox clutch and extruder MELT PUMP of LLD unit, and stated that: Within the past few days, the production of LLD unit was halted in June 7th due to the lack of transmission of power of gearbox clutch related to MELT PUMP engine.
He added: The maintenance activity of this machine was immediately started based on the power and knowledge of the native experts by the supervising engineers and the experts and technicians on a twenty-four-hour basis and during the holidays in order to continue the production process in less than a week spending 1870 hour-person; while in the past, this process lasted for 2 weeks.
Head of the Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company said that the implementation of this repair activity in the shortest possible time will have a significant impact on the company's productivity, and added: After completing this project, all the problems predicted on the gearbox clutch of extruder MELT PUMP are removed and this equipment returned to the production cycle in full compliance with standards and within the permissible limits, this equipment is currently in operation and is ready to operate without any problems and interruption in the process of production, all identified problems are also completely fixed.
Furthermore, Hayati, the head of repair department explained the details of the process of carrying out this multi-stage repair process at the LLD Unit and noted: After coordinating, the clutch, which was halted due to lack of power transmission, with the BEVEL PINION were dismantled as soon as possible and moved to the central workshop. After dismantling the clutch, it was found out that the friction plates and their bearings were corroded.
Finally, the new clutch was installed by cooling the shaft to minus 30 degrees centigrade; however, in the past the clutch package was sent integrally out of the province for replacement, which would impose a huge cost to the company.
Mohammad Reza Hayati added: the gearbox was then repaired according to the projections. Due to the fact that this piece was enclosed in the extruder structure, its transfer was carried out by the repair services group within 6 hours, and after transferring the gearbox to the central workshop, it was disassembled using native knowledge and expertise.
