Passive Defense and Crisis Management at Iran's National Petrochemical Company

Passive defense affairs and crisis management of Iran's national petrochemical company was established in 2009 in line with immunization and reduction of the vulnerability resulted by internal and external threats and to secure the facilities of the country petrochemical industry. Because of the civilian measures set are defined as the passive defense activities in order to increase deterrence, reduce vulnerability, sustain necessary activities, promote national sustainability and facilitate crisis management against threats, this company at the first step is attempting to classify petrochemical complexes on a critical, sensitive and important basis. The main goals of this work are in accordance with the nature and status of each company, implementing the requirements and approvals of passive defense in production companies and petrochemical projects.
